Pullin is for real get-togethers with people you actually know. This policy is short because the rule is simple: use it for that, and treat the people on your guest list the way you would want to be treated.

1. Use Pullin for real events

Pullin helps people plan real get-togethers with the people they already know. Keep it that way and we will get along fine. This policy applies to everyone who creates, co-hosts or joins an event on Pullin, and it forms part of the Terms of service for hosts.

  • Events must be genuine gatherings organised by a real person.
  • Invite people you know or who asked to be invited. Pullin is link-based by design: no scraping, no bulk-importing contact lists, no messaging strangers.
  • Use the guest details your event collects for that event only. South Africa’s POPIA applies to you as a host too: you may not export your guest list into a marketing list, sell it, or hand it to anyone who was not part of the event.

2. Never use Pullin to

  • Scam, phish or mislead people, including fake events, fake payment requests, or impersonating another person or business.
  • Harass, threaten or bully anyone, or share content that is hateful or discriminatory.
  • Share content that is illegal, sexually explicit, or that endangers children in any way.
  • Collect other people’s personal information beyond what your event needs, or use guest details for anything other than that event.
  • Sell or promote illegal goods or services, or run pyramid or multi-level recruitment schemes dressed up as events.
  • Send unsolicited marketing. The automated messages Pullin sends are about the event a guest RSVP’d to, and nothing else may go out through them.
  • Circumvent our limits, probe or overload our systems, or interfere with other people’s events.

3. Money and photos

Money
Pullin never handles money between hosts and guests. If you ask guests for a contribution, the details you display and everything that happens in your bank account are your responsibility. Misusing the contribution feature to defraud guests is the fastest way to lose your account.
Photos
Hosts approve every photo before it appears on the event page, and hosts are responsible for what they approve. Do not upload photos of people who would object, and respect a guest’s request to take a photo down. Each guest may add up to 20 photos of 5 MB each, for 30 days after the event; the wall is for photos of that event, not a place to store or distribute other material.

4. Enforcement, appeals and reporting

Enforcement
Every public event page has a "Report this event" link. Reports are anonymous and go straight to our operators. We may suspend events or accounts that break this policy. A suspended event shows guests nothing; a suspended account loses access immediately. We keep an audit trail of every enforcement action, and no refund is due for a plan cut short by a suspension.
Appeals
If your event or account was suspended and you believe we got it wrong, email hello@pullin.co.za with the event link and your side of it. A human reads every appeal, usually within two business days.
Phishing reports
If you received a WhatsApp message or a link pretending to be Pullin, forward it to hello@pullin.co.za. Our only official web address is pullin.co.za, our emails come from an address ending in @pullin.co.za, and our WhatsApp business number is the one shown on every event page.

Seen something that breaks this?

Use the report link on the event page, or email us. Reports are anonymous and a person reads every one.
